What Is Tuning and Balancing Energy?
Energy Center Blockages
Energy Centers as Two-Way Transformers
Because energy centers are associated with certain endocrine glands and consciousness levels, as explained by Laura Berman, Ph.D (Love, Sex, and Relationship Therapist), our experiences and traumas can impact our energy centers. According to Arhanta Yoga, physical or emotional issues — like feeling depressed, overwhelmed, or creatively blocked — can be a result of energy centers being out of balance or blocked. Essentially, our energy systems manage the energetic residue of traumatic experiences, which are stored as blockages in the subtle astral body. For example, trauma related to safety and survival is said to be stored in the root energy center. And trauma related to shame is said to be stored in the solar plexus energy center.
Essentially, our energy centers function as two-way transformers, regulating the energy exchange between our subtle astral body and gross physical body. Since energy centers are all interrelated, when one is blocked or not activated it can block the flow of energy to other centers. Ergo, if a person has blockages in their lower energy centers (e.g. fear, ego, control), the upward flow of subtle energy can’t reach the higher centers. For example, an entity with an unbalanced solar plexus energy center could be narcissistic, which could block energy to the heart energy center making them less compassionate. Energy centers can become unbalanced or blocked due to many reasons. Stress, not enough physical activity, unhealthy eating habits, self-destructive behavior, and unresolved trauma are a few.
This is corroborated by the Law of One (46:9), which explains that repressing or not processing destructive thoughts and trauma could cause stress and energy blockages. Specifically, anger can cause stress to our solar plexus energy center, manifesting into destructive behavior like venting and throwing objects. It’s suggested that over time, the stress from not processing lower-vibrational energy could manifest as physical illnesses, like cancer (Law of One, 46:7-16). Edgar Cayce Readings (257-249) also corroborate this in a different way saying that the body will remove disturbances if we allow it and not hold on to them.
Energy Centers as a Defense System
Keep in mind fellow souls that the opening and closing of our energy centers can also work like an energetic defense system. As previously mentioned, a negative experience – and the low-vibrational energy that comes with it – could cause the associated energy center to close in order to block more of that energy out. But think about that for a second. If the energy center is closed, not only would it block lower-vibrational energy from coming in but would it also prevent low-vibrational energy from leaving?
The gist is that energy blockages can lead to serious physical consequences like cancerous growths if ignored (Law of One, 40:12-13). They can also prevent us from ascending to higher consciousness levels. This is especially true when the lower three energy centers are blocked (root, sacral, and solar plexus). Blockages also affect our overall vibrational frequency, specifically the crown energy center. This is because the crown energy center reflects the overall level of harmony between the lower centers (Law of One: 15:12). It’s considered our vibrational thermometer.
Minimal Energy Center Activation
How Energy Centers Are Activated
How are our energy centers activated or opened? Our energy centers can be activated based on a variety of factors including our needs, spiritual practices we perform, and our consciousness level, according to the Law of One (17:37, 48.7). Our environment is also a factor, specifically the great central sun.
Sarah Elkhaldy (Spiritual Teacher & Energy Healer) explains that we receive upgrades (energy field optimizations) through the great central sun and local suns, which transmit their spiritual essence (light, photons) to our energy fields, increasing our capacity to hold life force energy. Ergo, as our awareness increases, our subtle energy grows, our nervous system rewires, our DNA activates, and our energy field reconfigures.
Another thing to keep in mind fellow souls is that energy centers are said to exist in potential (unmanifested, dormant) until activated. Is the activation process sequential? What if the activation process is not entirely sequential, where one energy center has to be activated before the next? Perhaps activation is more cumulative and layered.
Balancing Energy Centers
What is the concept of balancing energy centers? Aaron Abke (Spiritual Teacher) provides a great analogy, saying balancing energy centers can be thought of as energy center tuning, relating energy centers to guitar strings. Think of each energy center as a guitar string that needs to be tuned to a specific frequency so that it plays in harmony with the other centers or strings. This begs the question, if one energy center is underactive, will another become overactive to compensate, sending out energy at a greater rate?
It’s thought that once we activate all necessary energy centers to the minimal degree – root, sacral, solar plexus, and throat, with optional heart if resonating with a service to others (STO) disposition – we can move into indigo (third eye) work, according to the Law of One (40:4, 41:19, 54:15, 75:23). Could this be synonymous with the Law of One’s (47:13, 63:18-23, 66:7) concept of doubly or dual-activated bodies?
In essence, a dual-activated body is one where an entity is simultaneously mastering the lessons of two distinct stages of spiritual evolution. Doing so leads to a much faster and intense ascension through the consciousness levels. The example they provide is when a wanderer starts to rapidly work with the green ray body (love), they often find their blue ray body (communication) activated almost immediately.
Once all lower energy centers are activated or opened to some degree, it’s said that higher-vibrational spiritual energy can act as a transformative fire, effectively burning up karmic seeds to prevent them from manifesting in future lives. Is this what happens during a kundalini awakening?
Clearing Energy Blockages
State of Mind and Energy Flow
Our research suggests that our state of mind is intimately linked to our subtle energy flow. Ergo, when the mind is clear, calm, and focused it can direct the energy system (energy centers, nadis, energy fields, etc.) for optimum energy flow. Does this mean we can clear energy blockages (habits/trauma) by just thinking them away? Awareness, focused thoughts, and affirmations seem like a great place to start. For example, Christina Lopes (DPT, MPH & Heart Alchemist) suggests repeating, “I lovingly command my [energy center] to [decrease or increase] in size and return to its normal flow”, followed by body movements.
Consider this fellow souls. In physics, every object has a resonant frequency. If we subject an object to a vibration that matches its natural frequency, it will begin to vibrate with it. But happens if we subject a rigid structure (like an energy blockage) to a much higher, more coherent frequency? Will that structure eventually shatter?
If energy blockages are considered rigid, low-vibrational structures (matter, apara prakriti) and our thinking minds are also considered low-vibrational structures, then wouldn’t it be difficult to clear energy blockages using just the thinking mind since the vibrations would be similar? It would be like trying to clean a stain (energy blockage) from a garment (energy center) with sandpaper (the mind) but no soap (divine light) or water (spiritual energy). Perhaps this is why clearing our energy centers isn’t seen as just a top-down or bottom-up approach. It’s thought of as a collaborative effort between Source’s grace or divine light (downward sustaining) and our willpower and spiritual energy (upward seeking).
Collaborative Cleaner Approach
The downward flow of Source’s grace is often considered the ultrasonic cleaner approach. It’s synonymous with the in-pouring of high-frequency divine light > spiritual energy or intelligent energy. Intelligent energy (spiritual energy) is our sustaining energy — north pole energy drawn from divine light and the upper energy centers. This energy is said to vibrate at a frequency that’s naturally incompatible with the rigid, low-vibrational energy of an energy blockage. Much like an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner uses high-vibrational sound waves to shake dirt off of a ring, as we focus the mind in meditation and silence (Bhagavad Gita, 6:10-15) spiritual energy can flow down, vibrating against our energy blockages. This friction is said to loosen energy blockages.
The upward seeking flow of willpower is often considered a jackhammer approach. It’s synonymous with the kundalini process — balancing life force energy polarities (masculine and feminine) to create spiritual energy or kundalini energy. Kundalini energy is considered our spiritual, seeking energy — south pole energy drawn from the cosmos and the lower energy centers. As we do the inner shadow work of self-awareness, balancing, and forgiveness (Law of One, 40:12-13, 49:6), it’s said that we’re pushing kundalini energy upward. When it hits an energy blockage (like fear in the root energy center), it acts like a jackhammer to exert pressure on the blockage to rise. This process can feel intense because our pesky egos tend to resist.
Why are these two forces (upward and downward) important? Consider this fellow souls. If we only had the upward pressure, perhaps the climb would be too exhausting and slow. If we only had the downward vibration, perhaps the blockages would loosen but wouldn’t have the thrust to be cleared out of our energy system. Ergo, the real magic of clearing energy blockages seems to happen when the upward and downward forces meet. Once the cleaning process has finished, our energy centers can operate optimally and our energy field layers become transparent. Ergo, we’re no longer unliberated souls struggling to see the light. We are clear conduits, meaning divine light can pour in and spiritual energy can radiate out unimpeded.
Maximum Energy Center Activation
What about fully activating all energy centers? Is this possible? While possible, the Law of One (40:4, 75:35) explains that fully activating each energy center is rare. But there is one who was said to have done just that. Sadhguru Sri Brahma (Yogi, Mystic & Siddha, 1878-1920ish) was said to have left his gross physical body through all of the energy centers at Seventh Hill, Velliangiri Mountains. Having complete mastery over the energy system is often called chakreshwara or a total-spectrum mahasamadhi.
Consider this fellow souls. With a normal death or exit from the gross physical body, unliberated souls typically exit through the lower energy centers, leaving the gross physical body as a discarded shell. During mahasamadhi, liberated souls are said to exit through the sushumna energy channel out of the crown energy center, also leaving the gross physical body as a discarded shell. Sadhguru Sri Brahma, on the other hand, was said to have exited the gross physical body through all seven energy centers simultaneously, rather than exiting through a single point. It’s said that his consciousness expanded so rapidly that it essentially obliterated his entire gross physical body.
Think about that for a second fellow souls. When Sadhguru Sri Brahma made his exit, he basically turned his entire physical being into a massive energetic explosion. This, in turn, consecrated the space at Seventh Hill, leaving an intense, vibrational imprint in the ether. This intense, vibrational imprint essentially turned Seventh Hill into an altar or energy funnel for those seeking to clear their energy systems. Sadhguru Sri Brahma’s exit was epic, right? He refined his energy system to such an extent that it could no longer be contained in his material body. Now that’s how to make an exit!
Pyramids Used for Balancing Energy
Just like Seventh Hill is considered a consecrated alter that helps to balance energy systems, there’s also growing evidence that both ancient and modern pyramids could serve the same purpose. Consider this fellow souls. Physicists have discovered that the Pyramids of Giza can concentrate electromagnetic energy. With this in mind, perhaps the greater purpose of pyramids was to help balance planetary energy (Law of One, 14:7-10) as well as help facilitate divine acts such as healing, resurrection, and even interdimensional travel (Law of One, 2:4). Yes fellow souls, we’re referring to the pyramids as balancing energy structures.
These types of pyramids are said by many to have been strategically built in certain areas with the help of higher-consciousness entities both of and not of Earth. This seems to be in contrast with the mainstream scientific community, which asserts that ancient pyramid construction was solely human labor. The Law of One (23:6) explains that the Great Pyramid was thought into existence thousands of years ago by the level 6 consciousness social memory complex referred to as Ra. But, along with many other pyramids built during that time, it eventually came to be used by those whose aim was power and corruption.
There were 6 balancing and 52 healing pyramids built, according to the Law of One (14:6-10). However, most pyramids are no longer aligned properly for balancing planetary energy (Law of One, 57:13).
