In a nutshell, Soul on a Journey is like a spiritual online journal and wiki. We encourage those seeking absolute truth to see what resonates and share their experiences.

What's In a Name?

Are we spiritualists – those who seek connection to something greater than themselves? Or are we mystics – those who embody a unique blend of deep inner knowing with an unquenchable thirst for the truth?

Perhaps we’re star children (e.g. volunteers, lightworkers, starseeds, indigos, crystals, hybrids, or rainbows) – those who’ve come from other dimensions or planets, incarnating on Earth to elevate our collective consciousness.

We won’t get bogged down by labels. SoaJ exists to help illuminate our intertwining paths as we embark on spiritual journeys and help to usher in a more harmonious future for all of us. Why? Because we resonate with the concept that we are all connected and that all paths lead to the same eternal Source — ALL IS ONE. Namaskaram.

Clarity Seeking

SoaJ recognizes that each of us has self-chosen lessons to learn, that we each learn at our own pace, and that there are many ways to seek absolute truth (vidya). We've also experienced firsthand how being led into a belief system can be futile. In other words, we seek with discernment. Yes, we understand this can be challenging, but our aim is to ensure that we're always directing our energy toward what serves our purpose rather than what detracts us from it.

Open-Minded

SoaJ is inclusive and respectful of different perspectives. We've gained clarity from various religious texts, spiritual ideologies, scientific theories, and esoteric resources. We try not to cling to a single ideology or path. Instead, we find what resonates with us in all paths and ideologies — with a focus on sharing the commonalities. We strive for clarity of perception — to see things as they truly are without our pesky egos and biases getting in the way. We recognize that confidence without clarity is futile.

Experiential

SoaJ recognizes that not all truths can be grasped intellectually. Some truths, such as the blissful ecstasy of Source, can only be experienced within, through divine grace. Therefore, we strive to consistently apply spiritual practices in our daily lives. We understand there are countless ways for each of us to do this as we navigate our specific opportunities, samskaras, and catalysts for spiritual growth. No, we won't sugarcoat it — our journeys have been challenging so far but also totally worth it.

Introspective

SoaJ understands the tremendous value of turning inward to end our self-imposed suffering rather than solely relying on outside resources and saviors. Practices that help us cultivate a conscious, introspective mindset include meditating, chanting, performing breathwork and yoga, listening to inspirational music, watching insightful talks, reading ancient texts and books, spending time in nature, and attending spiritual retreats with fellow souls on their journeys.
