What is the Purpose of Creation?

An Original Thought by Source

There are definitely a wide range of answers to the question of why creation exists. The mainstream scientific community prefers to stay away from existential questions like this. Across various religious and theological perspectives, the purpose for our existence includes manifesting Source’s divine glory, expressing divine love and wisdom, bringing honor to the creator, and establishing relationships with humanity.

The Law of One has an interesting take on this which resonates with us. It suggests that the reason for creation lies in an original thought by Source (1:0). Essentially, everything in creation is part of this one original thought, which is refined with each new iteration of creation. So, what is this original thought? ALL IS ONE (Law of One, 4:20) or as Sri Neem Karoli Baba-Ji (Guru & Saint, 1900 – 1973) said, “Sub Ek”.

The original thought revolves around exploring the finite concept of many-ness. Essentially, Source is considered infinite. The Law of One (1:7, 13:12) explains that infinite can’t be many because many-ness is a finite concept. So the only way that infinite can be many is through unity. Perhaps Source’s exploration of the concept of unity is manifested as the diverse, multiverse. Let’s expand on that. What if Source seeks to explore the concept of unity and experience itself (Law of One, 82:10) as both infinite in the spiritual universe and finite in the material universe?

The Kybalion (C5) and Autobiography of a Yogi (34:272-273) both take the original thought concept a step further suggesting that the material and spiritual universes are literally created in Source’s infinite mind as a projected thought – like how we create dreams in our minds or engage in virtual simulations. As above, so below; as below, so above (The Kybalion: C2:28, C8). Sarah Elkhaldy (Spiritual Teacher & Energy Healer) has a similar viewpoint. She considers our multiverse (organic and synthetic universes) as more like a hologram that produces the fabric of space/time (e.g. matrix) rather than a simulation or hallucination.

Regardless of why creation exists, we’re setting the intention to honor creation by living consciously and compassionately.
